There are four generations of Simon BOLEY identified.
[1] the Simon Boley that left a will in Berkley Co. Virginia in 1786 that
identified Mary, his wife, sons John and Benjamin, and daughters Sereham
Shoemaker, Mary Kinckecoe, Wamput Conner, and Deborah Patterson;
[2] the Simon Boley that left a will in Northumberland Co. in 1724 that
identified his wife, Sarah, sons William and Simon and daughters Mary Thomas,
Martha Boley, Judith Boley and Sarah Boley;
[3] the Simon Boley that married Nancy Sutton August 1, 1798 in Fauquier Co.
who may be the Simon Boley that appears in the Fauquier Co. census in 1810
and 1830 [but I do not know anything more about this Simon]; and
[4] the Symon "Boule" that appears in Northumberland Co. records in 1650 [but
I do not have any info on this family]
If anyone has any more information on the above families, would they please
send the info you have to Enlow Ose.
Has anyone established a relationship or reached any conclusions that connect all
of these Simons? Along with many others, I am trying to determine the ancestry
of the Boleys that first appear in Bedford, Charlotte and Campbell Co. Va. At
this time I am inclined to think that the John Boley who married Rebecca Rector;
The Pressley Boley that married [1] Nancy Ward and [2] Polly Daniel; The
Benjamin Boley that married Patience Daniel; the Elijah Boley who married
Ailcey Barrack [who appear to be my wife's ancestors]; and the Simon Boley
who married Nancy Sutton, are brothers and that they all came from Fauquier
Co. These five Boleys could be sons of John Boley and Hannah Rust but I lack
any proof of it.
