George Verdelle Shannon and Zona Paulena White. My family moved from Paris to Dallas,
Texas in 1952 as did so many other families at that time. I have always been interested in my
family's heritage and started researching some 30+ years ago. This research has created a great
love for genealogy and the history of this fantastic area. I now live in historical Arthur City
which is located just 10 miles north of Paris in Lamar County. My favorite hobby is genealogy. I
