Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999 our beloved Bradley went to be with his Saviour.
Masonic services will be at 2 PM Friday, Jan. 15, at First Methodist Church in Cranfills Gap. Burial will be in Boggy Cemetery, Cranfills Gap, Bright-Holland Funeral Home visitation will be from 7-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Alton Bradley Witte was born Nov. 6, 1914 to Alvin D. and Lela (Adams) Witte in Jonesboro, Texas. During his lifetime he worked in the steel mills in Gary, IN. He was a supervisor for Temco Aircraft, North American Aircraft and Collins Radio all of Dallas. He was co-owner of Princess Beauty Salon of Irving for 26 years and he raised and showed wire fox terrier dogs. After retiring in 1983, he moved to Paris where he had a small cattle ranch.
Bradley was a member of Fairy Masonic Lodge No. 751 in Jonesboro for over 50 years and he was a Methodist.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Zona White Witte; a daughter and son-in-law, Linnell and Glenn Bowers of Paris; a son and daughter-in-law, Joe Bradley and Virginia Witte of Lewisville; a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Rondal Genzel of Cooper; two stepsons and a daughter-in-law, George R. and Kathy Shannon of Abilene and Larry V. Shannon of Paris; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Jewell Williams of Cranfills Gap,; and a sister-in-law, Midge Witte of Arlington.

Edward Raymond Lee was born in the Glory community in southeast Lamar C
He was the first child of George Walter Lee and Jo Ella Wright. George
Walter was born in Monroe Co.,TN, the first child of William Charles Lee
and Mary Williams. Eddie was the great-grandson of Elijah and Hannah Lee
who came to the Hazeldell community of Lamar Co. with their entire fami
from Monroe Co. circa 1890, and who are buried in Lee Hazeldell. Jo Ella
was born in AL, the first child of James and Martha Bobo Wright.
Eddie's parents were divorced when he was about 8 yrs. old. Jo Ella then
married James W. Lewis of the McCrury community in southwest Red River
Co. Eddie married Sadie Belva Chance in Red River Co. on Feb. 13,1918.
She was the daughter of Clayton Flavel Chance and Amanda Isabel Gray
Thompson Chance. Three children were born of this union: Dennis Raymond
who married Margie Evelyn Bankhead; Alva Ridjell who married Dorothy
Marie Robb, and Mary Jo who married Trenton Coke Fowler. Eddie was a
tenant farmer in the McCrury area until 1926 when he moved to Paris. The
move to Paris in late 1926 came after a disastrous cotton crop failure.
Eddie found various job opportunities in Paris, but soon settled in as a
delivery man at the Hudson & Fortune Grocery. He opened his own grocery
store in 1930 and operated the business until his death on Dec. 29, 194
He suffered a heart attack while on an errand to the Paris post office,
and lived only a few hours after the illness struck him. He is buried ar
Highland Cemetery in Deport, TX.

Mallie O. Goyne, 89, of Paris departed to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, at Paris Regional Medical Center, at which time Bright Holland Funeral Home received her into their care.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Don Brown officiated. Burial follows at Highland Cemetery in Deport.
The family receives friends 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
She was born May 20, 1915, the daughter of John Anderson and Ella May Wells Wright in Deport. She graduated high school in Deport. Many years ago, when the Stamps Baxter Quartet came to Paris, they had a contest and she won first place as a soloist. She was a member of Ramseur Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She worked at Ayers Department store for many years and had many friends that worked there. She never met a stranger and had many friends. She loved everyone.
She married Homer Roe Barnard in 1933. He was killed in a car accident in 1939. She later married Roy R. Goyne in 1945 in Hugo, Okla. He preceded her in death in 1970. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Clara and Beatrice Wright; and a brother, Lawrence Wright.
Survivors include one son; Norman Barnard; one daughter, Betty Potter and husband, Donnie; grandchildren, Judith Barnard Downs and husband, Ricky, Tammy and Doug Vaughn, Lisa and Doug Grant, Jennifer and Tom St. John, Lee and Terry Potter; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces, Martha Fagan, Judy and Sydney Richey, Laurie and Don Brown, Nelda and Bruce Melton; and other relatives and friends.
Mallie married (1) Homer Roe Barnard in 1933. Homer died in 1939.
