Asa was the son of John Cobb and Judith Mitchell, Asa was born aroundTuscumbia, Alabama. According to "Two Hundred Years at Muscle Shoals" In1822 the Pond Creek Church (Brick) was organized. In 1827 it wasrepresented at the Association by Rev. Jermiah Burns, Amos Jarmon , andAsa Cobb, and reported thirty one members.
