The funeral will beheld Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Methodist Churchby thepastor, the Rev. Harold Goodenough, assisted by the Rev. G. H. Gattis,Pecan Gap. Brown-Roden Funeral Home will make burial in Pleasant HillCemetery, and pallbearers will be Joe Hammack, A. B. White, Harry Wilson,Frank Anderson, Gordon Hogue and John Holden. Hewas a brother of the late T. J. R. Yates. Melville Yates was born at Highin 1861, son of the late William and Minerva Shelton Yates, and had livedin that vicinity all his life. He and Miss Ada Bradley were married Oct.14, 1885, and lived in the same house there until it burned two or threeyears ago. They had made their home since then at Brookston. Mr. Yatesjoined the Methodist Church at High in early manhood.'
