Samuel B. Shannon (1781) moved his family from Giles County, Va. toHendricks
Co. Indiana where they are found on the census of 1830 with 8 childrenstill
living at home. The two elder children, William and Thomas remainedtemporarily
in Virginia. Samuel B. Shannon donated land for the Shannon Cemeterywhich is
located on road 425 W and is NW of Danville and NE of New Winchester,Indiana.

Samuel married Elizabeth Brown on 5 Nov 1801. Elizabeth was born on 26 Dec 1782 in Montgomery Co., Virginia.
