In 1921, Jeff Shannon moved his family from Atlas, Texas to Paris,Texas.
Jeff went to work for Humble Oil Company and later bought a Humble GasStation
located across the street from present day Farmers Market on West ShermanSt.
In the 1930's, Jeff was picking blackberries along the railroad tracksand
was hit by a train, severing his left hand at the wrist. He was lefthanded.
At the time of his death, Jeff was working at Camp Maxey Army Base inthe PX.
He was living at 93 North 20th Street in Paris, Texas. The cause of deathwas
Cardio - Renal failure.
